This is a motion graphics video done for my compendium’s research topic on technological anxiety as part of my assignment. It brings the viewer through a series of how technologies were meant to improve our lives but they can subsequently be misused/reprogrammed or develop their own language (like the case of Facebook robots). This portrays the fear of technology, that one day, these smart technologies will be able to overtake humans. Since my compendium will be exploring sci-fi dystopia movies that cause technological anxiety, I feel that a cinematic trailer would be a fit for this.
